The worm beds are drained with snap-in PVC pipes which can be used for each row of the stacked beds. A row is watered periodically, drained for 24 hours, and the drawers then pushed back into the supporting rack. The irregular floors in the basement required flexibility in the plumbing system. Worm bed drainage is ideal fertilizer.
